David Bowie Makes His TV Debut with The Manish Boys (1965)
Bowie, who was 18 years old at the time, made his TV debut with The Manish Boys, which was the second band that he recorded with early in his career. They were a short-lived blues outfit that liked to implement elements of folk and soul who appeared on Gadzooks! It's All Happening where they were set to play their only single, a cover of Bobby Bland's "I Pity the Fool".
Small Faces Splits Up Following Steve Marriott Departure (1969)

Active from 1965 to 1969, Small Faces called it quits following the departure of their co-founder and frontman, Steve Marriott. He left in favor of forming Humble Pie, which also featured Peter Frampton, Jerry Shirley, and Greg Ridley.
Grateful Dead Keyboardist Ron "Pigpen" McKernan Dead at Age 27 (1973)
McKernan, co-founder and keyboardist of Grateful Dead, was found dead by his landlady following a gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by cirrhosis of the liver. He had spent much of his career dealing with alcoholism.
Cher Wins Unfortunate Rolling Stone Magazine Awards (1990)
Unfortunately for Cher, Rolling Stone Magazine didn't take too nicely to some of the promotion choices for her hit song, "If I Could Turn Back Time". She won awards for being the worst dressed female as well as having the worst video for then-new song. Singer Donny Osmond shared some of her pain, being awarded for the most unwelcome comeback. Ouch.
Blue Plaque Honoring Late Drummer of The Who is Unveiled (2009)
A blue plaque was erected at the Marquee Club in Soho, London by the Heritage Foundation in honor of Keith Moon, who died in 1978 due to an accidental overdose. The Who played a total of 29 gigs at the club starting in 1964.
Sir George Martin Dead at 90 Following Battle with Stomach Cancer (2016)
Martin, who was commonly nicknamed the fifth Beatle, was a record producer, composer, conductor, audio engineer, arranger, and musician. He had worked with many artists over his career such as The Beatles, Jeff Beck, UFO, Elton John, Cheap Trick, and more. He passed away peacefully in his sleep.
